Built On a Mission of Service

Driven by purpose, in 1969, we embraced a mission of skilled nursing and compassionate elderly care. Since then, St. Augustine Health Ministries has blossomed into a sprawling campus of residential settings. We serve over 1000 individuals each day. With over 500 professionals and an extended family of assisted care residences, we are the anchor of the Detroit Shoreway community.

St. Augustine serves individuals based on their needs, not their religious affiliation or financial status. We serve people. We provide health care and outreach ministries to lift the most vulnerable among us. We are a nonprofit, Catholic ministry, fortified with high quality and compassionate care. We deliver professional health services with love, compassion, and respect for human dignity— regardless of race, creed, or religious affiliation.

Who We Serve

St. Augustine Health Ministries serves people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life through an array of community and residential programs and services.

• Accepting ages six weeks to five years old, St. Augustine Child Enrichment Center provides early childcare and preschool education for 84 children.
• The Towers, located on the St. Augustine Shoreway Campus, offer 99 assisted living apartments for active seniors 55 and over.
• Emerald Village Senior Living, located in North Olmsted, offers 100 independent living and 30 assisted living units for active seniors 55 and over.
• For privacy, St. Augustine Home Health Care provides a spectrum of physician-directed home health care services. Care services include treatments for injuries as well as illnesses. In addition, we offer private-duty care and non-medical personnel options.
• Holy Family Home and Holy Family Hospice offer residential and community-based hospice services for individuals entering life’s final journey.
