Planned Giving - St Augustine Health Ministries

Make a Lasting Impact with Planned Giving

We all want our lives to have meaning – during our lifetimes, and even after. Being involved with charitable nonprofits is one of the most important ways we express our desire for meaning and our commitment to make the world a better place. That’s why many of our donors are open to making St Augustine Health Ministries and Holy Family Hospice a part of their legacy.

By leaving a planned gift –  from a will, retirement account, life insurance policy, or other asset, you assure a better quality of life for so many people for generations to come!

Will or Living Trust

Perhaps you would like to help others by including St. Augustine Health Ministries or Holy Family Hospice in your will, but you want the flexibility to change your will in the event that life circumstances change. You can do both!

A bequest is a gift made through your will or trust and can be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or the entire remainder of the estate.

To help you get started on your plans and legacy, you can use FreeWill, an online tool that gives you the power to create or update a legally valid will or trust. It’s easy to navigate, accessible online and can be completed in 20 minutes. You can use this resource on its own or use it to document your wishes before finalizing your plans with an attorney.

Already left a gift to St. Augustine or Holy Family? Please let us know so we can thank you!

Beneficiary Designations

Do you have an IRA, 401(k), life-insurance policy, or any other assets not included in your will? If so, you must plan your beneficiaries for them separately. Use this online tool to make your plans and even designate St. Augustine Health Ministries or Holy Family Hospice as a full, partial or contingent beneficiary of your retirement account (IRA, 401(k), 403(b) or pension).

Charitable IRA Rollover (QCD)

If you are 70 1/2 or older, giving from your IRA can help reduce your taxable income – and for those over 73 who must take a Required Minimum distribution (RMD), an IRA gift is a simple way to fulfill it! By using the link below to give from your IRA, you can auto-complete your paperwork and we can track your gift to send you the proper tax receipts.

Gifts of Stock

Donating stock allows you to avoid capital gains tax and often take a charitable deduction for the full value of the asset. Use this tool to donate stock so we can track your gift, send you the correct receipt, and you can get the tax savings you deserve.

If you prefer to make your donation through your broker, access our transfer information from the link to notify St. Augustine Health Ministries of your gift.
