Palliative Care

Palliative Care

Palliative Care is a specialized medical approach for people with a chronic or serious illness. Palliative Care can begin at diagnosis and continue throughout active treatment. The goal of palliative care is to manage symptoms, pain, and stress and provide spiritual, emotional, and educational support throughout the illness.

How it Works

  • Palliative Care occurs along with curative treatments.
  • It includes Palliative Care doctors, your attending physician, nurses, social workers, chaplains,
pharmacists, dietitians, and other necessary specialists.
  • There is an emphasis on symptom management.
  • We provide assistance navigating health care institutions.
  • We provide family education (patient progress, caregiver training, patient support, and family support).
  • Care is provided along with curative treatments, regardless of treatment setting.
