Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Home Health Care CNA to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Duties
Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
Assist with catheter care and ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed.
Help patients with mobility and transferring between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Support nursing staff in implementing care plans and responding to patient needs.
Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of patient areas to promote a safe environment.
Skills
Proficient in aseptic techniques to prevent infections during patient care.
Strong understanding of patient service principles to enhance the overall healthcare experience.
Familiarity with healthcare systems and protocols within a Level I Trauma Center or teaching hospital setting.
Experience in nursing home or home community care environments is preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Compassionate approach to caregiving that prioritizes the dignity and comfort of patients.
Knowledge of catheter care procedures is advantageous.
