Honoring 70 Years of Holy Family Hospice

This year, we proudly celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Holy Family Hospice. The Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne, founded by Rose Hawthorne to care for those with incurable cancer, opened Holy Family Home in 1956 to ensure every person could receive compassionate, dignified end-of-life care. For seven decades, Holy Family has been a trusted place of peace, comfort, and support for families across our community.

Your Support Makes an Impact

Your participation in the Merry Ploughboys Benefit Concert directly supports the residents, patients, and families served by St. Augustine Health Campus—including the 82% who are un- or under-insured. Your generosity helps provide essential daily care, therapies, spiritual support, outings, enrichment activities, and the simple dignities that mean so much to those who have limited resources. Your commitment lifts up the most vulnerable members of our community – older adults and individuals with complex medical needs – ensuring they continue receiving the compassion, dignity and connection they deserve.
