Mother’s Day Remembrance & Prayer

MOST GRACIOUS HEAVENLY FATHER, we take a moment today to honor all mothers in our prayers, both living and deceased. We thank you for our natural mothers, our foster mothers and our “spiritual mothers,” those who may not have children of their own, nevertheless selflessly care for children of others of every age and in every state of life.

So Almighty Lord we pray,
Blessed be all mothers
Who have come into our lives
Whose kindness, care and loving
Remain with us to guide.
Your inspiration in us
Made us strive in every way
Especially to remember
Helping others makes our day.

Thank you for the many life memories,
Advice, laughter, tears and song,
As I fold my hands and close my eyes
I pray Dear Lord thank you for the wonderful mothers
Given to me. AMEN.
