For nearly a decade, Crystal Medley has quietly made a profound impact at St. Augustine Health Campus. After losing her husband, Crystal found healing and purpose in volunteering—bringing comfort and companionship to residents, folding laundry, delivering mail, helping with special events, and supporting office tasks with a ready smile and open heart.
Her commitment never wavered, even during the challenges of the pandemic. She remained present, knowing that residents and staff needed her more than ever.
But Crystal’s generosity doesn’t end there. As a lifelong member of Berea Eagles Aerie 2282, having joined the Auxiliary at just 19 in her mother’s footsteps, Crystal continues to live out the Eagles’ mission:
Crystal saw a need and took action. She shared the challenges our residents face with her fellow members of Berea Eagles 2282, and inspired them to respond with generosity. Thanks to her heartfelt advocacy, the Berea Eagles Women’s Auxiliary and Men’s Aerie presented a $5,000 donation to St. Augustine Health Campus.
This gift will help provide care, dignity, and daily essentials to residents who have outlived their resources. Crystal’s story proves that one person’s compassion can ripple out, inspiring others to make a real difference.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Crystal Medley and the Berea Eagles for supporting the aging members of our community. Your kindness helps ensure every resident is seen, valued, and never left behind.
