Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher job description:
Are you energetic, creative, and do you love to play with kids? St Augustine Manor is hiring for a full time or part time Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher for our Child Enrichment Center. Candidate must be creative, energetic and suited to working with children ages 12 to 24 months from various cultural and economic backgrounds.
An Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or a CDA is preferred, although any number of years of experience would be accepted. First aid/CPR training, education in communicable disease and child abuse are preferred.
Under the supervision of the Director. The primary functions of this position are to assist the Lead Teacher in the daily implementation of lesson plans for children in the class ages 1 to 2 years; to teach and guide children in safety, personal hygiene, manners, eating, and resting; and to provide activities that enhance the children’s development to best prepare them for future developmental, social, and emotional goals.
