“As I reflect on 25 years of ‘small pleasures’ during my time at St. Augustine Health Campus, these many memories become a kaleidoscope of feelings and emotions. They seem anything but small!” said Anita. “To even express the joys and experiences that I have been afforded during my time here seems almost insurmountable, but please know that as I sit here and type these words I am smiling as those memories come flooding forward. They will remain with me for the rest of my days. Please know that as I begin the next chapter of my life, I do so as a person who has been forever changed and enriched because of my time spent with all of you at St. Augustine.”

After 25 years of dedicated service to St. Augustine Health Ministries, staff and residents said farewell to Anita on January 28, 2021, as she took the first step of her retirement journey.
Anita joined the St. Augustine family in 1995 as Administrative Assistant at the Towers, our newly-opened assisted living facility and, in 1998, she was promoted to Director. In 2008 she moved across the street to the south side of the Campus and began serving as Senior Administrator of Retirement Living Services. Anita was then promoted to Administrator of St. Augustine Manor in 2014.
During her tenure, Anita was instrumental in advancing the programs and services under the Health Ministries umbrella. To residents, staff, volunteers and families, however, her greatest attributes were those that put people first: being present for all those who needed her; taking the time to listen; greeting residents and staff by their first names; and making decisions based on the best interests of the individuals who make up the St. Augustine family.
Anita’s plans for retirement include traveling, reading and enjoying time with her husband, Mark, family and friends. She has no plans for cooking.
