We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full time Home Health CNA to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care in various settings.
Duties
Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
Help patients with mobility by lifting, transferring, or repositioning them as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families, particularly those dealing with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
Participate in the development of patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Assist in the administration of medications as directed by nursing staff.
Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand patient needs effectively.
Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and long-term care protocols.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Experience or training in memory care techniques for patients with cognitive impairments.
Ability to lift and assist patients safely while maintaining proper body mechanics.
Knowledge of dementia care strategies to provide appropriate support for affected individuals.
Understanding of infectious disease care practices to minimize risks within healthcare settings.
