St Augustine Manor is hiring for a qualified Pre-K Teacher. Under the direct supervision of the Director.
The primary functions of this position include, performing services and duties necessary to provide total care for children three to five years of age from various cultural backgrounds; and to enhance the children’s development to best prepare them for kindergarten and other social situations.

Assist program director with the management of the USDA reimbursement program, taking accurate counts and submitting the necessary monthly reports.
Adhere to all and local licensing requirements and comply with meeting the state mandated guidelines for Infant/Toddler and Step Up to Quality.
Set up learning centers and maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment.
Conduct two parent/teacher conferences each calendar year and any additional conferences, as needed.
Teach, introduce, or guide children in the performance of personal hygiene, safety, manners, eating, nutrition, resting and toileting.
Write lesson plans that align the state guidelines and are individualize for each child.
Record ongoing observations of children, write anecdotal notes, and display their work using Portfolio’s
Supervise children at all times while they attend the center or involved in off-site activities.
Work compassionately with parents to assist them in addressing needs, solving problems, and meeting program requirements.
Prepare reports, track attendance and keep accurate records in order to coordinate the O.D.J.F.S voucher and CACFP.
BS/BA in education or related field
High School or equivalent required
CPR, First Aid Certification (Preferred). Training in Communicable disease, and Child Abuse.
